Fund-raising Cycle Ride 2014

Moselle to Mozart – September 6th – 20th September

As you may already know, I cycled from Frankfurt to Vienna this year – 767 miles – an average of approximately 60 miles per day - however some were shorter and some were 70+ miles!!!! (the longest 73).

The main reason why I took on this epic ride is because I was 60 at the end of September and I wanted to mark this milestone in some unusual way.

Never missing an opportunity to fund raise, I have been raising funds for the Rocky Appeal - Queen Alexandra Hospital, Portsmouth (60%) and also for the BodyFocus Support Group (40%)

WE HAVE RAISED A STAGGERING £2033 SO FAR

A BIG 'THANK YOU' TO EVERYONE FOR YOUR GENEROSITY

The Rocky Appeal needs to raise £2.4 million pounds for the Da Vinci Robot and is used for robotic surgery for cancer patients and is used for prostate, gynaecological, colorectal, kidney, bladder and head and neck operations.

So far they have raised £500,000 and need to raise a further £1.9 million.

My husband, Graham, recently had robotic surgery for prostate cancer and we would like to secure this option for others by helping to raise funds.  60% of the amount raised will be donated to this appeal.

The BodyFocus Support Group always needs funds to support various projects and classes including transport, so 40% of the amount raised will be for this group.
