Pulmonary Rehabilitation
|
BodyFocus is keen to provide Exercise Classes for people with a range of health conditions. As there are many people with various forms of respiratory disease, training is currently being undertaken to provide appropriate classes for people to continue with Pulmonary Rehabilitation following discharge from the NHS provided service. The training is being provided jointly by the British Lung Foundation and the NHS so that local exercise instructors can be trained up to provide opportunities for people with respiratory disease to continue to experience the benefits of approriate exercise. Exercise Instructors undertaking this training are expected to work with local NHS Pulmonary Rehabilitation Teams and, following successful completion of training, will be able to take referrals from both Pulmonary Rehabilitation Teams and GPs. The training ends in December 2009 with the assessments in January 2010. If the assessments are completed successfully, it is hoped to provide classes for people with respiratory disease from Spring 2010. So please.....
